| Things just aren't how they used to be.

During my stay as a student at the Pont-Aven School of Contemporary Art, I composed a multi-layered exhibition featuring a multi-media installation, film installation and paintings during the winter of 2011.

Artist Statement

Personal memories and photographic documentation act as the inspiration for my mixed media installations, films and oil paintings. Security and inherent beauty in the small snapshots of my personal experiences attracts me to these images, specifically for my paintings, I am interested in reinterpreting photographs that show condensed or crowded spaces which possess atmospheric depth and the illusion of a greater space. More personal experiences are depicted metaphorically through my mixed media installations and films, these are visual memoirs that have been abstracted from their original inspiration. My work is meant to create an intimate experience for the viewer despite the works' large scale.
